IMG Receives ISO 14001:2004 Certification

(INDIANAPOLIS) – International Medical Group®, Inc. (IMG®), a worldwide leader in designing, distributing and administering global health care benefits, is pleased to announce that its U.S. headquarters successfully achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification for its Environmental Management System (EMS).  As one of the first known in its industry to receive this type of certification, the achievement marks a milestone in IMG’s ongoing commitment to reduce its environmental footprint.

With the assistance of Cornerstone Environmental, Health and Safety, Inc., IMG implemented a functional EMS and met requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 standard. American National Registrar, an independent auditor, verified the implementation noting the EMS was well-developed and communicated policies and objectives, and had an excellent example of management support with allocation of necessary resources.

The ISO 14001 family of standards is internationally recognized as a means to certify an organization’s ability to implement an effective EMS. The standard is designed to aid organizations in reducing their environmental impact by ensuring proper policies and objectives are in place.
